The Senior Advisor to the Grand Mufti and Secretary General of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Ibrahim Negm, left for London to present the experience of Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta in fighting radicalization, terrorism and Islamophobia before a number of British Islamic Research bodies.
In a press statement issued earlier on Wednesday, Dr. Negm pointed out that his visit to London comes within the framework of activities of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide to build bridges of communication with Muslims abroad. Dr. Negm added that the visit is considered part of the Grand Mufti’s implementation of this year’s strategy that aims to reach out to Muslims worldwide and provide them with the necessary scholarly guidance that protects them from falling a prey to radicalization and terrorism.
“The visit includes holding a number of meetings with Muslims in London in an attempt to figure out their problems and provide the necessary scholarly guidance to resolve them,” Dr. Negm concluded.
