The Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawki Allam, will leave for China tomorrow to participate in the conference that will be held on Monday in Chengdu city titled, “Arab-Chinese Intercultural Dialogue and the Round Table Meeting for Eradicating Extremism”. Dr. Allam will present Dar al-Ifta’s experience of combating extremism and terrorism.
In a news statement issued on Sunday before he left for China, the Grand Mufti stated that international cooperation and exchanging experiences of combating extremism has become a global necessity. He added that the fatal consequences of extremism are not limited to a certain region; it is a global threat that requires the collective cooperation of authorized institutions.
“Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta was aware of the threat of extremism and immediately acted upon implementing a comprehensive strategy to combat extremism. Participating in this conference is a chance to share experiences in this respect,” Dr Allam said.
